بَابُ الْأَدْعِيَةِ الْمَأْثُورَةِ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - الَّتِي دَعَا بِهَا ، وَعَلَّمَهَا .

وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ لِعَمِّهِ الْعَبَّاسِ : " يَا عَمِّ ، أَكْثِرِ الدُّعَاءَ بِالْعَافِيَةِ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ هِلَالُ بْنُ خَبَّابٍ ، وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ ، وَقَدْ ضَعَّفَهُ جَمَاعَةٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to his uncle, Sayyiduna Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him): "O uncle! Supplicate abundantly for well-being."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Hilal bin Khabbab, who is thiqah (trustworthy), though a group declared him da'if (weak); the remaining narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
