بَابُ الْأَدْعِيَةِ الْمَأْثُورَةِ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - الَّتِي دَعَا بِهَا ، وَعَلَّمَهَا .

وَعَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيِّ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - بَعَثَهُ عَلَى نِصْفِ الْيَمَنِ وَمُعَاذًا عَلَى نِصْفِ الْيَمَنِ ، فَأَتَاهُ أَبُو مُوسَى يُسَلِّمُ عَلَيْهِ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَا أَبَا مُوسَى ، قُلِ : اللَّهُمَّ اهْدِنِي وَسَدِّدْنِي ، وَاذْكُرْ بِهِدَايَتِكَ الْهِدَايَةَ ، وَبِتَسْدِيدِكَ تَسْدِيدَ سَهْمِكَ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ خَالِدُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ الْأَشْعَرِيُّ ، وَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ ، وَضَعَّفَهُ جَمَاعَةٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ خَالِدُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ الْأَشْعَرِيُّ ، وَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ ، وَضَعَّفَهُ جَمَاعَةٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent him as governor over one half of Yemen, and Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) as governor over the other half of Yemen. Sayyiduna Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to greet him, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: O Abu Musa! Recite:
'Allahumma ihdini wa saddidni' (O Allah, keep me firm upon guidance and keep me straight).
(Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:) "With (your asking for) guidance, call to mind the guiding (on a road), and with (your asking to be) kept straight, call to mind the straightening of your arrow."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Khalid bin Nafi' al-Ash'ari, whom Ibn Hibban declared thiqah (trustworthy) while a group declared him da'if (weak); the remaining narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
