Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: While supplicating at Arafah, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) raised both hands, and the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: This is an expression of humility before Allah Almighty. Meanwhile the she-camel made a sound, so he opened one of his two hands and held the she-camel with it, while during this he kept the other hand raised.
Al-Bazzar recorded it, and al-Tabarani recorded something similar, except that in it the words are: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had raised both hands, the she-camel's rein fell, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took hold of it and raised both hands; and he added these words: "This was out of humility and earnest entreaty." The narrators of al-Bazzar are the narrators of the 'Sahih', except Ahmad bin Yahya al-Sufi, and he is thiqah (trustworthy); however, al-A'mash did not hear from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him).
