Majma al-Zawaid 17336 — Pointing with the finger and raising the hands

Sayyiduna Abu Barzah al-Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: During supplication the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would raise both hands so high that the whiteness of his armpits became visible.
Abu Ya'la recorded it; as for Abu Hilal, the student of Sayyiduna Abu Barzah (may Allah be pleased with him), I do not know him; the chain of this report contains Yazid bin Abi Ziyad, about whom there is disagreement, and the remaining narrators of this report are 'thiqat' (trustworthy).
