Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 17158

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When one of you buys a servant, let him take hold of her forelock and recite:
'Allahumma inni as'aluka min khayriha wa khayri ma jabaltaha 'alayh' (O Allah, I ask You for her good and the good of the nature You have created in her).
And when a man buys a camel, let him take hold of the top of its hump and recite words like these."
Abu Ya'la recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Hibban bin Ali, who has been declared trustworthy despite his weakness, and the rest of its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
