Sayyiduna Uthman al-Ghani (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Any Muslim who leaves his house to go on a journey or for some other purpose, and while leaving recites:
'Amantu billah, i'tasamtu billah, tawakkaltu 'ala Allah, la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah' (I have believed in Allah, I have held fast to Allah, I have put my trust in Allah; nothing can happen without the help of Allah.)
(The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:) he is granted the good of that going out, and the evil of that going out is turned away from him."
Ahmad recorded it from a man, from Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him); the remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
