Majma al-Zawaid 17010 — What one says in the morning and evening

Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Shall I not tell you why Allah Almighty named Sayyiduna Ibrahim (peace be upon him) His 'Khalil' (intimate friend), the one who fulfilled (his covenant and duty)? The reason is that he used to recite in the morning and in the evening:
So glorify Allah when you reach the evening and when you reach the morning."
The narrator says: Then he recited the complete verses.
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains weak narrators who have been declared trustworthy.
