Sayyiduna Abu Umamah al-Bahili (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to make this supplication in the morning and in the evening:
'Allahumma anta ahaqqu man dhukir, wa ahaqqu man 'ubid, wa ansaru man ibtughi, wa ar'afu man malak, wa ajwadu man su'il, wa awsa'u man a'ta, antal-maliku la sharika lak, wal-fardu la yahlik, kullu shay'in halikun illa wajhak, lan tuta'a illa bi-idhnik, wa lan tu'sa illa bi-'ilmik, tuta'u fa-tashkur, wa tu'sa fa-taghfir, aqrabu shahid, wa adna hafiz, hulta dunath-thughur, wa akhadhta bin-nawasi, wa katabtal-athar, wa nasakhtal-ajal, al-qulubu laka mufdiyah, was-sirru 'indaka 'alaniyah, al-halalu ma ahlalt, wal-haramu ma harramt, wad-dinu ma shara't, wal-amru ma qadayt, wal-khalqu khalquk, wal-'abdu 'abduk, wa antallahur-ra'ufur-rahim. As'aluka bi-nuri wajhikal-ladhi ashraqat lahus-samawatu wal-ard, bi-kulli haqqin huwa lak, wa bi-haqqis-sa'ilina 'alayk, an taqbalani fi hadhihil-ghadah (aw fi hadhihil-'ashiyyah), wa an tujirani minan-nari bi-qudratik'
(O Allah, of all who are remembered, You are the most deserving; of all who are worshipped, You are the most deserving; of all from whom help is sought, You are the greatest helper; of all who own, You are the most compassionate; of all who are asked, You are the most generous; of all who give, You are the most bountiful. You are the King who has no partner, You are the One who will not perish; everything will perish except Your Self. You cannot be obeyed except by Your permission, and You cannot be disobeyed except with Your knowledge. When You are obeyed, You accept it, and when You are disobeyed, You forgive. You are the nearest witness and the closest guardian. You stand as a barrier before the mouths, You hold the forelocks, You record the footprints and You set the appointed terms. Hearts turn to You, and what is hidden is open before You. The lawful is what You have made lawful, the unlawful is what You have made unlawful, the religion is what You have prescribed, and the command is what You have decreed. All creation is Your creation and every servant is Your servant, and You are Allah, the Most Kind, the Most Merciful. I ask You by the light of Your Countenance, by which the heavens and the earth are illuminated, and by every right that is Yours, and by the right that those who ask have upon You, that You accept me this morning, or this evening, and that by Your power You save me from Hell.)

Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Faddal bin Jubayr, who is da'if (weak), and there is agreement on his weakness.
