Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 16934

وَعَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ قَالَ دُبُرَ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ : أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ [ الَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ ] ، وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ ، غُفِرَ لَهُ وَإِنْ كَانَ فَرَّ مِنَ الزَّحْفِ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الصَّغِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ عُمَرُ بْنُ فَرْقَدٍ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna al-Bara' bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever recites this after every prayer: 'Astaghfirullaha alladhi la ilaha illa huwa al-hayyu al-qayyumu wa atubu ilayh' (I seek forgiveness from Allah, besides whom there is no god, and He is the Ever-Living, the Self-Sustaining, and I turn to Him in repentance)", (the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) says:) "then that man will be forgiven, even if he had fled from the battlefield."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Umar bin Farqad, and he is da'if (weak).
