Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'Subhan Allahi wa bihamdihi, subhan Allahi al-Azim, astaghfirullaha wa atubu ilayh'
"Allah is free from every imperfection, and His is the praise; Allah, the Most Great, is free from every imperfection; I seek forgiveness from Allah Almighty and repent to Him."
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever recites these words, they will be recorded exactly as he recited them, then they will be hung on the Throne, and no sin of the person who recited them will be able to erase them, until, when that person comes before Allah Almighty on the Day of Resurrection, those words will be sealed, just as he recited them."
Al-Bazzar recorded it; its chain contains Yahya bin Amr bin Malik al-Nukri al-Basri, who is da'if (weak). Al-Daraqutni (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "He is somewhat sound (suwaylih), and he is taken into consideration." The rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
