Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whoever recites 'Subhanallahi wa bihamdihi' (Glory be to Allah, and praise be to Him), one hundred and twenty-four thousand good deeds are recorded for him; and whoever recites 'La ilaha illallah' (There is no deity except Allah), there will be a covenant for him with Allah Almighty on the Day of Resurrection because of this phrase."
Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, al-Nadr bin Ubayd, whom I do not know; the rest of its narrators have been declared trustworthy.
