Book of Remembrance
بَابٌ فِي الَّذِينَ إِذَا رُءُوا ذُكِرَ اللَّهُ .
Those who, when they are seen, Allah is remembered
Majma al-Zawaid 16779 — Those who, when they are seen, Allah
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَجُلٌ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، مَنْ أَوْلِيَاءُ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ : " الَّذِينَ إِذَا رُءُوا ذُكِرَ اللَّهُ " .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ عَنْ شَيْخِهِ : عَلِيِّ بْنِ حَرْبٍ الرَّازِيِّ ، وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ وُثِّقُوا .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: A man said: "O Messenger of Allah, who are the friends (awliya') of Allah?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Those who, when they are seen, Allah is remembered."
Al-Bazzar recorded it from his teacher Ali bin Harb al-Razi, whom I do not know. The rest of its narrators have been declared trustworthy.
