وَعَنْ عَمَّارِ بْنِ يَاسِرٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " مَثَلُ أُمَّتِي مَثَلُ الْمَطَرِ ، لَا يُدْرَى أَوَّلُهُ خَيْرٌ أَمْ آخِرُهُ " . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَالْبَزَّارُ ، وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُ الْبَزَّارِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ غَيْرَ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ قَزَعَةَ ، وَعُبَيْدِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ الْأَغَرِّ ، وَهُمَا ثِقَتَانِ ، وَفِي عُبَيْدٍ خِلَافٌ لَا يَضُرُّ .
Sayyiduna Ammar bin Yasir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The example of my Ummah is like that of rain: it is not known whether its first part is better or its last part."
Ahmad, al-Bazzar and al-Tabarani recorded it. The narrators of al-Bazzar are the narrators of the Sahih, except al-Hasan bin Qaza'ah and Ubayd bin Sulayman al-Agharr, and both of them are thiqat (trustworthy); there is a difference of opinion about Ubayd that does no harm.
