وَعَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " صَفْوَةُ اللَّهِ مِنْ أَرْضِهِ الشَّامُ ، وَفِيهَا صَفْوَتُهُ مِنْ خَلْقِهِ وَعِبَادِهِ ، وَلَيَدْخُلَنَّ الْجَنَّةَ مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أُمَّتِي ثُلَّةٌ لَا حِسَابَ عَلَيْهِمْ ، وَلَا عَذَابَ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ الْحِمْصِيُّ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The chosen part of Allah Almighty's earth is Syria (al-Sham), and in it He will place the chosen ones of His creation and His servants. And a group from among you, from my Ummah, will surely enter Paradise who will neither be taken to account nor be punished."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Abd al-Aziz bin Ubaydullah al-Himsi, and he is da'if (weak).
