Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What do you think: if Aslam and Ghifar, these two allied tribes, were better than the two allied tribes named Asad and Ghatafan, would you think that they (the latter) had suffered loss?" The people replied: "Yes." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Do you think that the two allied tribes named Muzaynah and Juhaynah are better than Asad, Ghatafan, Hawazin, Tamim and Banu Amir bin Sa'sa'ah?" Uyaynah bin Badr bin Husayn said: "By Allah, going to Hell with those people would be dearer to me than going to Paradise with these people." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever would like to see a fool who is followed as a leader, let him look at this man."
(Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Part of this narration is mentioned in the Sahih.
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains the narrator al-Hasan bin Abi Ja'far, who is matruk (abandoned).
