وَعَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " اسْتَحْدِثُوا الْإِسْلَامَ بِحُبِّ الْأَنْصَارِ ; فَإِنَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّهُمْ إِلَّا مُؤْمِنٌ ، وَلَا يُبْغِضُهُمْ إِلَّا مُنَافِقٌ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ عَبْدُ الْمُهَيْمِنِ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Keep renewing Islam through love for the Ansar, for only a believer will love them and only a hypocrite will hate them."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains the narrator Abdul Muhaymin bin Abbas, who is da'if (weak).
