وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : كُنْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - وَعِنْدَهُ عَلِيٌّ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " يَا عَلِيُّ ، سَيَكُونُ فِي أُمَّتِي قَوْمٌ يَنْتَحِلُونَ حُبَّ أَهْلِ الْبَيْتِ ، لَهُمْ نَبَزٌ يُسَمَّوْنَ الرَّافِضَةَ ، قَاتِلُوهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ مُشْرِكُونَ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: I was with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) was also with him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Ali! Soon there will be people in my Ummah who will claim love for the Ahl al-Bayt (the Household). They will have a particular name: they will be called al-Rafidah. Fight against them, for they will be polytheists."
