وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ : ذُكِرَ مَالِكُ بْنُ الدُّخْشُنِ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَوَقَعُوا فِيهِ ، يُقَالُ لَهُ : رَأْسُ الْمُنَافِقِينَ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " دَعُوا أَصْحَابِي لَا تَسُبُّوا أَصْحَابِي " .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .

Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Malik bin al-Dukhshun was mentioned in the presence of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the people criticised him; it was said about him: "He is the chief of the hypocrites." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Leave my Companions alone; do not revile my Companions."
