Sayyiduna Miswar bin Makhramah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I came to Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) while he had been covered over. I asked: "In what condition have you found him?" The people said: "As you see." I said: "Wake him up for the prayer, for you cannot wake him for anything more important to him than the prayer." The people said: "O Commander of the Believers! It is time for the prayer." He said: "Yes! By Allah! Yes! There is no right in Islam for the one who abandons the prayer." Then he offered the prayer while blood was flowing from his wound.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
