بَابٌ فِي وَفَيَاتِ جَمَاعَةٍ مِنَ الصَّحَابَةِ وَمَوَالِيدِهِمْ ، وَآخِرِ مَنْ مَاتَ مِنْهُمْ - رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ - .

وَعَنِ الْوَاقِدِيِّ قَالَ : وَفِيهَا مَاتَ أَبُو سُفْيَانَ : صَخْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، وَهُوَ ابْنُ ثَمَانٍ وَثَمَانِينَ سَنَةً - يَعْنِي سَنَةَ إِحْدَى وَثَلَاثِينَ - .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ إِلَى الْوَاقِدِيِّ ثِقَاتٌ .

Al-Waqidi said: In that same year Sayyiduna Abu Sufyan Sakhr bin Harb (may Allah be pleased with him) passed away, and at that time he was 88 years old. The narrator says: that is, this happened in 31 AH.
