Majma al-Zawaid 1620 — The obligation of prayer

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) say: "The first prayer made obligatory upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was the Zuhr prayer."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Yasin al-Zayyat, who is matruk (abandoned).
