عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ قَالَ : مَنْ سَرَّهُ أَنْ يَنْظُرَ إِلَى هَدْيِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَلْيَنْظُرْ إِلَى هَدْيِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَفِيهِ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ وَقَدِ اخْتَلَطَ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .

Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Whoever wishes to see the way of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) should look at the way of Amr bin al-Aswad.
Ahmad recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Abu Bakr bin Abi Maryam, whose memory became confused (ikhtilat), and the rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
