عَنِ الْهِرْمَاسِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ قَالَ : وَفَدَ أَبِي وَأَنَا مَعَهُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - وَقَالَ : ادْعُ اللَّهَ لِي وَلِابْنِي قَالَ : فَمَسَحَ رَأْسِي ، وَبَايَعَهُ عَلَى الْإِسْلَامِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ جَمَاعَةٌ لَمْ أَعْرِفْهُمْ .

Sayyiduna Hirmas bin Ziyad (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: My father came as part of a delegation to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and I was with my father. My father said: Supplicate to Allah Almighty for me and for my son! The narrator says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed his hand over my head, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) took our pledge of allegiance upon Islam.
