Sayyiduna Hanzalah bin Hidhyam (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I came with my grandfather, Sayyiduna Hidhyam (may Allah be pleased with him), as part of a delegation to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). My grandfather said: O Messenger of Allah! I have sons; some of them have grown beards and some have not, and this one is the youngest of them. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) drew me close to him, passed his hand over my head and supplicated: May Allah Almighty bless you. A narrator named al-Dhayyal says: I saw that a man whose face had become swollen, or a goat whose udder had become swollen, would be brought to Sayyiduna Hanzalah (may Allah be pleased with him), and he would say: In the name of Allah, seeking blessing, with the place where the palm of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) touched. Then he would pass his hand over the swollen place, and the swelling would go away.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and something similar in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir. Ahmad recorded it as part of a long hadith that has passed in the Book of Wills, in the chapter on wrongdoing in making a will; the narrators of Ahmad are thiqat (trustworthy).
