Muhammad bin Ishaq, among the names of those from the Ansar who took part in the Battle of Badr, mentioned, from Banu Mazin bin al-Najjar, a branch of Banu al-Khazraj, Sayyiduna Qays bin Abi Sa'sa'ah (may Allah be pleased with him). The name of Abu Sa'sa'ah is Amr bin Zayd bin Awf bin Mabdhul bin Amr bin Ghunm bin Mazin bin al-Najjar.
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators up to Ibn Ishaq are thiqat (trustworthy).
