Yahya bin Ya'mar narrates from a Companion this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "The first thing for which a servant will be called to account is his prayer. If it is complete, it will be recorded for him as complete. If it is not complete, Allah Almighty will say (to the angels): 'Do you find any voluntary prayer of My servant with which you may complete his obligatory prayer?' Then the matter of zakah will be likewise, and then all other deeds will be dealt with in the same way."
Allamah al-Haythami says: I say: Al-Nasa'i (may Allah have mercy on him) recorded something similar through Yahya bin Ya'mar from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him). I do not know whether it is this same hadith or another. Ahmad recorded this narration under a person other than Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
