وَعَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ قَالَ : جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، فَقَالَ : قَدْ جَاءَ حَسَّانُ اللَّعِينُ ، فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ : مَا هُوَ بِلَعِينٍ ؛ لَقَدْ جَاهَدَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - بِلِسَانِهِ وَنَفْسِهِ . رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَفِيهِ خَدِيجُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ حُدَيْجٍ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ وَقَدْ وُثِّقَ .
Sa'id bin Jubayr narrates: A man came to Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) and said: Hassan the accursed has come. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: He is not accursed; he waged jihad alongside the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with his tongue and with his life.
Imam Abu Ya'la recorded it. Its chain contains Khadij bin Mu'awiyah bin Hudayj, who is da'if (weak), though he has also been declared trustworthy.
