وَعَنْ جَرِيرٍ قَالَ : كَانَتْ إِذَا قَدِمَتْ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - الْوُفُودُ دَعَانِي ، فَبَاهَاهُمْ بِي .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ خَالِدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْأُمَوِيُّ وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ وَوَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ .

Sayyiduna Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: When delegations came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace and blessings be upon him) would call me, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) would express pride in me before them.
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Khalid bin Amr al-Umawi, who is matruk (abandoned), while Ibn Hibban declared him thiqah (trustworthy).
