وَعَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ رِبْعِيٍّ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " خَيْرُ فُرْسَانِنَا أَبُو قَتَادَةَ ، وَخَيْرُ رَجَّالَتِنَا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ الْأَكْوَعِ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الصَّغِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ جَمَاعَةٌ لَمْ أَعْرِفْهُمْ .
Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah al-Harith bin Rib'i (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best of our horsemen is Abu Qatadah, and the best of our foot soldiers is Salamah bin al-Akwa'."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir, and its chain contains a group of narrators whom I do not know.
