وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ : كُنْتُ يَوْمًا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فِي بَيْتِهِ فَقَالَ : " هَلْ تَدْرِي مَنْ مَعَنَا فِي الْبَيْتِ ؟ " . قُلْتُ : مَنْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ : " جِبْرِيلُ - عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ - " . قُلْتُ : السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا جِبْرِيلُ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ . فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " إِنَّهُ قَدْ رَدَّ عَلَيْكَ السَّلَامَ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ بِإِسْنَادَيْنِ ، وَأَحَدُهُمَا حَسَنٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: One day I was with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in his house. He said: Do you know who is with us in the house? I said: Who is it, O Messenger of Allah? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is Jibril. I said: O Sayyiduna Jibril! Peace be upon you, and the mercy of Allah Almighty. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: He has returned your greeting.
