وَعَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ : نَعَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أَهْلَ مُؤْتَةَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ قَالَ : " ثُمَّ أَخَذَ الرَّايَةَ سَيْفٌ مِنْ سُيُوفِ اللَّهِ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) announced from the pulpit the martyrdom of those who were martyred in the Battle of Mu'tah, and then he said: Then one of the swords of Allah took the banner.
