وَعَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ قَالَ : تُوُفِّيَ أُسَيْدُ بْنُ حُضَيْرٍ - وَيُكْنَى : أَبَا يَحْيَى - سَنَةَ عِشْرِينَ ، وَحَمَلَهُ عُمَرُ بَيْنَ أَعْوَادِ السَّرِيرِ حَتَّى وَضَعَهُ بِالْبَقِيعِ وَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ - رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ - )
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرُوِيَ عَنِ الْوَاقِدِيِّ بَعْضُهُ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُمَا مُنْقَطِعٌ .

Yahya bin Bukayr narrates: Sayyiduna Usayd bin Hudayr (may Allah be pleased with him) died in 20 AH, and his kunyah was Abu Yahya. Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) carried his bier on his shoulder from between the poles of his cot, and kept doing so until his cot was placed at al-Baqi', and it was Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) himself who led his funeral prayer.
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and he recorded part of it from al-Waqidi; the chains of both are munqati' (broken).
