Sayyidah Umm Sa'd bint Sa'd bin al-Rabi' (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that she came to Sayyiduna Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him). Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) spread out a cloth for her, and she sat on it. Then Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) came to Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) and asked: O Khalifah of the Messenger of Allah! Who is this lady? Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) replied: She is the daughter of a man who is better than me and you, except for the Messenger of Allah, whose case is different. He is a man who passed away in the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and took up his abode in Paradise, while you and I remained behind.
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Isma'il bin Qays bin Sa'd bin Zayd, who is da'if (weak).
