Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 15681

Sufyan bin Sahbanah al-Mahri narrates: In the Era of Ignorance (Jahiliyyah) I was a companion of Sayyiduna al-Miqdad bin al-Aswad (may Allah be pleased with him). He belonged to the tribe of Bahz. There he killed someone, fled to Kindah and made an alliance with them. Then he killed someone there too, fled to Makkah, and here he made an alliance with al-Aswad bin Abd Yaghuth.
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its chain up to Sufyan is hasan (good).
