وَعَنْ أُمِّ هَانِئٍ قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " السُّبَّاقُ أَرْبَعَةٌ : أَنَا سَابِقُ الْعَرَبِ ، وَسَلْمَانُ سَابِقُ الْفُرْسِ ، وَصُهَيْبٌ سَابِقُ الرُّومِ ، وَبِلَالٌ سَابِقُ الْحَبَشِ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ فَائِدٌ الْعَطَّارُ ، وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .
قُلْتُ : وَقَدْ تَقَدَّمَتْ لِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ بَعْضُ طُرُقٍ فِي فَضْلِ جَمَاعَةٍ مِنَ الصَّحَابَةِ .

Sayyidah Umm Hani (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Those who take the lead are four: from among the Arabs, "I" am the one who takes the lead; from among the Persians, Salman is the one who takes the lead; from among the Romans, Suhayb is the one who takes the lead; and from among the Abyssinians, Bilal is the one who takes the lead."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator named Fa'id, who is matruk (abandoned). (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Some routes of this narration have already passed in the chapter on the virtue of a group of the Companions.
