عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " السُّبَّاقُ أَرْبَعَةٌ : أَنَا سَابِقُ الْعَرَبِ ، وَصُهَيْبٌ سَابِقُ الرُّومِ ، وَسَلْمَانُ سَابِقُ الْفُرْسِ ، وَبِلَالٌ سَابِقُ الْحَبَشِ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ غَيْرَ عُمَارَةِ بْنِ زَاذَانَ ، وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ وَفِيهِ خِلَافٌ .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Those who take the lead are four: I am the one who takes the lead from among the Arabs; Suhayb is the one who takes the lead from among the Romans; Salman is the one who takes the lead from among the Persians; and Bilal is the one who takes the lead from among the Abyssinians."
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih except Umarah bin Zadhan, who is thiqah (trustworthy), but there is disagreement about him.
