وَعَنْ أَبِي سِنَانٍ الدُّؤَلِيِّ صَاحِبِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ عَمَّارَ بْنَ يَاسِرٍ دَعَا غُلَامًا لَهُ بِشَرَابٍ ، فَأَتَاهُ بِقَدَحٍ مِنْ لَبَنٍ ، فَشَرِبَهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ : صَدَقَ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ ، الْيَوْمَ أَلْقَى الْأَحِبَّةَ مُحَمَّدًا وَحِزْبَهُ ، إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : إِنَّ آخِرَ شَيْءٍ أَزُودُهُ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا ضَيْحَةُ لَبَنٍ . ثُمَّ قَالَ : وَاللَّهِ لَوْ هَزَمُونَا حَتَّى يَبْلُغُوا سَعَفَاتِ هَجَرَ لَعَلِمْنَا أَنَّا عَلَى حَقٍّ وَأَنَّهُمْ عَلَى بَاطِلٍ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu Sinan al-Du'ali (may Allah be pleased with him), a Companion of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), narrates: I saw Sayyiduna Ammar bin Yasir (may Allah be pleased with him); he called for a drink from his servant, and the servant brought him a cup of milk. He drank the milk and then said: Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) spoke the truth. Today I will meet my beloved ones, Sayyiduna Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and his companions. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The last thing I will partake of in this world will be milk." Then Sayyiduna Ammar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: By Allah! Even if they were to drive us back until they pushed us as far as the palm groves of Hajar, we would still know that we are upon the truth and they are upon falsehood.
