بَابُ غُسْلِ الْكَافِرِ إِذَا أَسْلَمَ .

وَعَنْ وَاثِلَةَ بْنِ الْأَسْقَعِ قَالَ : لَمَّا أَسْلَمْتُ أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَقَالَ لِيَ : " اغْتَسِلْ بِمَاءٍ وَسِدْرٍ ، وَأَلْقِ عَنْكَ شَعْرَ الْكُفْرِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالصَّغِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ مَنْصُورُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ الْوَاعِظُ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Wathilah bin al-Asqa' (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: When I accepted Islam, I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he said to me: Take a ritual bath with water and lote-tree leaves, and remove from yourself the hair of the time of disbelief!
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Saghir; its chain contains a narrator, Mansur bin Ammar al-Wa'iz, and he is da'if (weak).
