وَعَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ حُرَيْثٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - مَرَّ بِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ وَهُوَ يَبِيعُ بَيْعَ الْغِلْمَانِ - أَوِ الصِّبْيَانِ - قَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَهُ فِي بَيْعِهِ " . أَوْ قَالَ : " فِي صَفْقَتِهِ " . رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُمَا ثِقَاتٌ .
Amr bin Hurayth narrates: Once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Ja'far (may Allah be pleased with him), who was playing at buying and selling with the children, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Allah, bless him in his buying and selling! (The narrator is unsure; perhaps the words are:) in his deal."
Imam Abu Ya'la and Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration, and the narrators of both are thiqat (trustworthy).
