Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 15440

Yahya bin Abi Sulaym narrates: I saw Sayyidah Samra' bint Nahik (may Allah be pleased with her); this woman lived in the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). She was wearing a coarse shirt and a coarse wrap, and in her hand was a whip with which she would discipline people. She would enjoin what is good and forbid what is evil.
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
