قَالَ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ : فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ الْخَطَّابِ بْنِ نُفَيْلٍ ، تُكَنَّى أُمَّ جَمِيلٍ ، أُخْتُ عُمَرَ قَدِيمَةُ الْإِسْلَامِ ، أَسْلَمَتْ قَبْلَ عُمَرَ ، وَكَانَتِ امْرَأَةَ سَعِيدِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ نُفَيْلٍ - رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا - .
Imam al-Tabarani states: Sayyidah Fatimah bint al-Khattab bin Nufayl (may Allah be pleased with her): her kunyah is Umm Jamil, and she is the sister of Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). She accepted Islam early on; she accepted Islam before Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). She was the wife of Sayyiduna Sa'id bin Zayd bin Amr bin Nufayl (may Allah be pleased with him).
