عَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ قَالَ : كُنْتُ غُلَامًا أَحْمِلُ عُضْوَ الْبَعِيرِ ، فَرَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يُقَسِّمُ لَحْمًا بِالْجِعْرَانَةِ ، فَجَاءَتْهُ امْرَأَةٌ فَبَسَطَ رِدَاءَهُ ، فَقُلْتُ : مَنْ هَذِهِ ؟ فَقَالُوا : أُمُّهُ الَّتِي أَرْضَعَتْهُ .
قُلْتُ : عِنْدَ أَبِي دَاوُدَ بَعْضُهُ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ وُثِّقُوا .
قُلْتُ : وَقَدْ تَقَدَّمَتْ قِصَّةُ رَضَاعِهَا لِلنَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فِي عَلَامَاتِ النُّبُوَّةِ .
قُلْتُ : عِنْدَ أَبِي دَاوُدَ بَعْضُهُ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ وُثِّقُوا .
قُلْتُ : وَقَدْ تَقَدَّمَتْ قِصَّةُ رَضَاعِهَا لِلنَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فِي عَلَامَاتِ النُّبُوَّةِ .
Sayyiduna Abu al-Tufayl (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I was a boy who could carry a part of a camel. At that time I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) distributing meat at al-Ji'ranah. Meanwhile a woman came to him, and he spread out his shawl. I asked: Who is this lady? The people said: She is the foster mother of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
(Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Imam Abu Dawud recorded part of this narration. Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration, and its narrators have been declared trustworthy. (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: The incident of Sayyidah Halimah (may Allah be pleased with her) suckling the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) has already passed in the chapter on the signs of prophethood.
