عَنْ عَلِيٍّ - يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ - قَالَ : كَانَتْ فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - تَكْفِيهِ الدَّاخِلَ ، وَفَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ أَسَدٍ تَكْفِيهِ الْخَارِجَ - يَعْنِي النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ .
Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Sayyidah Fatimah bint Muhammad (may Allah be pleased with her) used to do the household work for him (that is, for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)), and Sayyidah Fatimah bint Asad (may Allah be pleased with her) used to do his outside work. By this Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) meant the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
