بَابُ مَنَاقِبِ جُوَيْرِيَةَ بِنْتِ الْحَارِثِ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - وَرَضِيَ عَنْهَا
Virtues of Juwayriyah bint al-Harith (may Allah be pleased with her), wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)

وَعَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ قَالَ : قَالَتْ جُوَيْرِيَةُ لِلنَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : إِنَّ أَزْوَاجَكَ يَفْخَرْنَ عَلَيَّ ، وَيَقُلْنَ : لَمْ يَتَزَوَّجْكِ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " أَوَلَمْ أُعْظِمْ صَدَاقَكِ ؟ أَلَمْ أُعْتِقْ أَرْبَعِينَ مِنْ قَوْمِكِ ؟ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ مُرْسَلًا ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Mujahid says: Sayyidah Juwayriyah (may Allah be pleased with her) said to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): Your wives boast over me and say that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not (truly) marry you. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Did I not give you a great dowry? Did I not free forty people of your tribe (as a dowry)?"
