وَعَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ قَالَ : كَانَتْ جُوَيْرِيَةُ مِلْكَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَأَعْتَقَهَا ، وَجَعَلَ عِتْقَهَا صَدَاقَهَا ، وَأَعْتَقَ كُلَّ أَسِيرٍ مَنْ بَنِي الْمُصْطَلِقِ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ مُرْسَلًا ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Imam al-Sha'bi says: Sayyidah Juwayriyah (may Allah be pleased with her) came into the ownership of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) freed her and made her freedom her dowry (mahr), and he freed every captive of Banu al-Mustaliq.
