Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) emigrated, he left us and his daughters behind (in Makkah). When he had settled in Madinah (or had arranged his residence), he sent Sayyiduna Zayd bin Harithah (may Allah be pleased with him), and sent with him his freed slave Sayyiduna Abu Rafi' (may Allah be pleased with him). He gave the two of them two camels and five hundred dirhams, which he had taken from Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), so that with it they could buy the mounts they needed. Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) sent with the two of them Abdullah bin al-Uraiqit al-Di'ali with two or three camels, and he wrote to Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) to mount and send along with him the family of Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), namely Sayyidah Umm Ruman (may Allah be pleased with her), the mother of Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), me, my brother, and Asma bint Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with her), the wife of Sayyiduna al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with him). They set out until they reached Qudayd, and there Zayd bin Harithah bought three camels with those five hundred dirhams. Then they all entered Makkah, and they met Sayyiduna Talhah bin Ubaydullah (may Allah be pleased with him), who wanted to emigrate. So we all set out together. Sayyiduna Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Abu Rafi' (may Allah be pleased with him) set out with Fatimah, Umm Kulthum and Sawdah bint Zam'ah, and Sayyiduna Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) mounted Umm Ayman (may Allah be pleased with her) and her children Ayman and Usamah. We also set out, until, when we were at al-Bayd in the territory of Namir, my camel bolted. I was in my litter, and my mother was with me. My mother began to say: "O my daughter! O my bride!" until our camel was brought under control just as we were descending the mountain pass of Habsha. Allah Almighty kept us safe until we reached Madinah. I stayed among the family of Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), and they went to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). In those days the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was having the Prophet's Mosque built, and our houses were around the mosque. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave his family lodgings there. We stayed there for some days, then Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "O Messenger of Allah! What keeps you from taking your wife home?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The dowry (mahr)." So Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) gave the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) twelve uqiyah and a nash (a specific measure) of silver, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent it to us. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took me home as his bride, into this house of mine in which I am now; it is in this very house that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away and in it he was buried. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took Sayyidah Sawdah bint Zam'ah (may Allah be pleased with her) to one of those houses, and he would stay with her. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) married me while I was playing with the girls, and I was not told that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had married me until my mother took me and kept me in the house; then it occurred to me that I had been married. I did not ask her about it until she herself told me.
Its chain contains a narrator, Muhammad bin al-Hasan bin Zubalah, who is da'if (weak).
