بَابُ فَضْلِ خَدِيجَةَ بِنْتِ خُوَيْلِدٍ زَوْجَةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ -

وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - إِذَا ذَكَرَ خَدِيجَةَ أَثْنَى فَأَحْسَنَ الثَّنَاءَ ، قَالَتْ : فَغِرْتُ يَوْمًا ، فَقُلْتُ : مَا أَكْثَرَ مَا تَذْكُرُ حَمْرَاءَ الشِّدْقَيْنِ ! قَدْ أَبْدَلَكَ اللَّهُ خَيْرًا مِنْهَا . قَالَ : " أَبْدَلَنِي اللَّهُ خَيْرًا مِنْهَا ؟ ! قَدْ آمَنَتْ بِي إِذْ كَفَرَ بِيَ النَّاسُ ، وَصَدَّقَتْنِي إِذْ كَذَّبَنِي النَّاسُ ، وَوَاسَتْنِي بِمَالِهَا إِذْ حَرَمَنِي النَّاسُ ، وَرَزَقَنِي اللَّهُ أَوْلَادَهَا وَحَرَمَنِي أَوْلَادَ النَّاسِ " . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .
Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: Whenever the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned Sayyidah Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her), he would praise her well. Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) says: One day I became upset and said: "How much you mention that woman with red cheeks, when Allah Almighty has given you better wives in her place!" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Has Allah Almighty given me better than her? She believed in me when people disbelieved in me; she affirmed my truthfulness when people belied me; she supported me with her wealth when people deprived me; and Allah Almighty granted me children through her and did not grant me children through other people."
