بَابٌ مِنْهُ فِي فَضْلِهَا وَتَزْوِيجِهَا بِعَلِيٍّ - رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا -

Majma al-Zawaid 15222 — The virtue of Fatimah and her marriage to Ali
عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقٍ قَالَ : تُوُفِّيَتْ فَاطِمَةُ - رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا - وَهِيَ بِنْتُ ثَمَانٍ وَعِشْرِينَ ، وَكَانَ مَوْلِدُهَا وَقُرَيْشٌ تَبْنِي الْكَعْبَةَ قَبْلَ مَبْعَثِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - بِسَبْعِ سِنِينَ وَسِتَّةِ أَشْهُرٍ ، وَأَقَامَ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - بِمَكَّةَ عَشْرَ سِنِينَ بَعْدَ مَبْعَثِهِ ، ثُمَّ هَاجَرَ فَأَقَامَ عَشْرًا ، ثُمَّ عَاشَتْ فَاطِمَةُ بَعْدَهُ سِتَّةَ أَشْهُرٍ ، وَتُوُفِّيَتْ سَنَةَ إِحْدَى عَشْرَةَ [ مِنَ الْهِجْرَةِ ] . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ إِلَى ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ثِقَاتٌ .
Muhammad bin Ishaq says: Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) passed away at the age of twenty-eight. When she was born, Quraysh were rebuilding the Ka'bah; this was seven years and six months before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was sent as a prophet. After being sent, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stayed in Makkah for ten years; then he migrated and stayed (in Madinah) for ten years. After his passing, Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) lived for six months, and she passed away in the year 11 AH.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration, and its narrators up to Ibn Ishaq are thiqat (trustworthy).
