بَابٌ مِنْهُ فِي فَضْلِهَا وَتَزْوِيجِهَا بِعَلِيٍّ - رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا -
The virtue of Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) and her marriage to Ali (may Allah be pleased with him)
Majma al-Zawaid 15219 — The virtue of Fatimah and her marriage to Ali
وَعَنْ أُمِّ أَيْمَنَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - زَوَّجَ ابْنَتَهُ عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ - رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا - وَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ لَا يَدْخُلَ عَلَى أَهْلِهِ حَتَّى يَجِيئَهُ ، فَجَاءَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ .
قُلْتُ : رَوَى هَذَا فِي تَرْجَمَةِ أُمِّ أَيْمَنَ ، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ قَبْلَهُ وَلَا بَعْدَهُ مَا يُنَاسِبُهُ . وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ .
قُلْتُ : رَوَى هَذَا فِي تَرْجَمَةِ أُمِّ أَيْمَنَ ، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ قَبْلَهُ وَلَا بَعْدَهُ مَا يُنَاسِبُهُ . وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ .
Sayyidah Umm Ayman (may Allah be pleased with her) says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) married his daughter Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) to Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him), and instructed him not to go in to his wife until the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to him. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came. After that the narrator mentioned the complete hadith. (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say:
This narration is mentioned in the biography of Sayyidah Umm Ayman (may Allah be pleased with her); there was no suitable place to mention it before or after it. And Allah knows best.
