وَعَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ بَعْجَةَ قَالَ : أَوَّلُ ذُلٍّ دَخَلَ عَلَى الْعَرَبِ قَتْلُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ ، وَادِّعَاءَ زِيَادٍ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .
Amr bin Ba'jah said: The first humiliation that entered upon the Arabs was the killing of Imam Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) and the claim made regarding Ziyad (his lineage).
